Curetis GmbH has been developing and commercialising molecular diagnostic products for more than 10 years and BFG has been working with them since the very start.
The company was created to address the global challenge of detecting severe infectious diseases and identifying antibiotic resistances in hospitalised patients.
The company’s Unyvero A50 System is a rapid molecular diagnostics platform used for reliable and accurate diagnosis of severe infectious diseases. The system uses powerful multiplex PCR technology to detect a wide variety of microorganisms, antibiotic resistance markers, or toxins from sample-to-answer within 4-5 hours.
Commercialising molecular diagnostics
Following FDA clearance for their Lower Respiratory multiplex PCR diagnostic panel the Unyvero LRT, BFG worked with Curetis on their market launch, accessing key opinion leaders and creating communications that clearly outlined their ground braking technology.
With the commercialisation of the company’s Unyvero A50 System BFG created a new website and corporate communications including product literature and introduced an illustrative flowing line design that is today used across all marketing and product communications.
BFG has been fortunate enough to have worked with all departments within Curetis advising on everything from product sales, to marketing, to diversification and corporate affairs.

Randox Laboratories, was established in 1982 and has been a world leader in the healthcare diagnostics industry for almost 40 years.
Randox develops and manufactures revolutionary diagnostic products for hospitals, clinics, research and molecular laboratories, food testing, forensic toxicology, life sciences and veterinary laboratories.
Randox Biochip Array Technology allows for multiple tests from the same sample making testing easier, faster and more cost effective.
BFG Healthcare Consulting helped Randox Laboratories transform into Randox Health adding consumers to their market reach.
Confidante is a sexual health test that was created by BFG Healthcare Consulting in partnership with Randox Laboratories. It is the only over the counter (OTC) product that can simultaneously detect 10 of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis, in a single test.
Having worked closely with Randox, BFG's consultants saw there was a clear business opportunity for the company to grow from manufacturer to 'healthcare providers'. Prior to our work Randox were known for laboratory equipment for hospital use. BFG identified that there was clear potential for the company to develop their own 'healthcare' testing services and become a healthcare provider in their own right.
BFG's work led to Randox launching Randox Health with high-street clinics and consumer testing for a wide range of services. Today Randox Health is one of the leading providers of testing services.
